Is RiddleNook free?
Yes. Every word tool and game is free to use as often as you like. We are supported by ads, which we keep out of the game boards themselves.
Which dictionary do the word tools use?
About 274,000 English words from a widely used open-source word game list, with everyday words marked using the SCOWL frequency lists so they appear first. Offensive words are left out. Official tournament dictionaries are licensed and differ slightly, so a few rare words may not match your game's.
Do the games work offline?
Once a page has loaded, the games and word tools keep working without a connection. Nothing you type or play is sent anywhere.
